To Start Spring Right

Well it has been I little while since the last update, but that does not mean nothing has been done...
well the biggest bit of news is that the engine is now off being re-built and such.
The block has been labeled scrap, but the guy doing the work already has a new one in line for me so I'm happy.
also the new firewall has come and I am now deciding if I should stain the wood, paint it black like it was originally, or do half and half..
if I can figure out how to make a poll I will so you can give me your two cents on the subject.
So yea now all i need is to send out the transmission, get new spokes and a few other odds and ends.
And so I leave you all with a couple new photos.
Peace to all

Große Fortschritte (much success

Hello....
Its been a few weeks since my last post, but there has been progress.
as you know my good friend Mike as well as me Dad have been helping me with work on the T, well a week ago on Friday we added a Noob to our ranks.. my friend Boyce.
Anyway last Friday (Feb 6Th) I had this grand idea of getting the guy's together, pulling the engine on the T, having some good food and tunes, and just having an overall good Friday night. Well everything i hoped for happened except for the tunes and the bit about pulling the engine (although we did make progress)
Now we come to this weeks events
I got the guys together in much the same fashion as the previous week
Boyce after track practice, and Mike after soccer training. So there we were... about 5:30 at night in southern California (which as anybody that lives there knows has been under water the last couple weeks) in an uninsulated box with open doors and no heat. We had a great time, i actually got the music playing and a good time was had by all.. we decided to stop for the night because it was about 9:30 pm and we didn't have hoist chains.
Now on to today
Boyce went home around 10:00 but mike stayed the night and this morning we went to work getting the last of what we needed together (we also found the chain we needed)
but a little before we were to start mike got a call from home and had to leave. My dad and i continue working and after dealing with some ridiculous design flaws in the body position to had the fire wall, steering column and the engine off the car.
I am so happy... now i just need to scrounge the money to get the engine rebuilt and i can send it on its way :D
and as usual i have pictures

some progress

To start things off I took the radiator, head lights and water pump off.
After that things got confusing and went out in all directions including trying to take the steering and the starter motor off (which i have no idea why we would do that because its not in the way
so yea...
until next time

To set the ball rolling

Hi, my name is Alex.
When my grandfather died in 2004 I acquired his 1915 Ford model T touring car.He used to drive it through town a lot, but when the wheels started to go bad (being made out of wood was a problem) we stopped driving it. It has been over a year since it was last on the road. Due to not being properly cared for much of the interior has significantly decayed. the actual mechanical bits to it are not in to bad a condition... most of them just need to be cleaned up, or to have new gaskets put in them, but the engine is toasted and needs to be re-built.
So at this point all that my friend Mike and I have done is re-build the carburetor, dust the car off and take most of the brass whatsits off.
Yesterday a new engine stand came in the mail so we are getting ready to pull the engine off some time in the near future. Hopefully we will kick progress into high gear.
For the people that want a look... or who have no idea what a model T is I took some photos this morning.
